AI & Digital Persona Notice

The rules ForEverAfter intends to apply before activating high-fidelity AI, voice, avatar, or digital-persona features. This notice does not mean those features are live today.

Effective September 4, 2026

1. Current status

ForEverAfter's current legal architecture anticipates possible future AI-assisted memory, interview, search, voice, avatar, and digital-persona features. This notice is published so the boundaries are clear before those features exist. It does not represent that ForEverAfter currently operates a live AI persona, voice-cloning, biometric identity, or immersive memorial product.

2. A simulation is not a person

Any future AI persona, chatbot, synthetic voice, avatar, digital twin, or similar representation will be a software-generated simulation. It will not be the represented person's consciousness and will not prove communication with a deceased person.

Generated output may be wrong, novel, inconsistent, emotionally persuasive, or fabricated even when it is based on authentic source material.

3. Living-person consent

ForEverAfter will not permit a user to create a high-fidelity AI clone or representation of another living person merely because the user is a relative, partner, employer, friend, or owner of recordings. The represented living person must directly consent under ForEverAfter policy before a feature that materially imitates that person's face, voice, or identity is activated.

4. Private and family data

Processing content to provide a user-requested, person-specific feature is different from using private content to train a generalized model. Personal or Family content will not be used for generalized public or third-party model training merely because a user accepted general Terms.

If ForEverAfter ever proposes generalized training using private or family-restricted content, that use will be separately disclosed and separately opted into where appropriate or required.

5. Feature-specific consent

Before activating a sensitive AI representation, ForEverAfter intends to disclose the represented person, source data, generated media types, permitted audience, conversation retention, relevant third-party processors, deletion or disablement controls, generalized-training status, and post-death treatment. Where law or product policy requires separate consent, general Terms acceptance will not substitute for that choice.

6. Synthetic labeling and provenance

Synthetic voice, image, video, or interactive persona output should be clearly identified when a reasonable person could otherwise mistake it for an authentic live communication or historical recording. Where practical, source-backed features should distinguish direct source material from model-generated inference.

7. No autonomous legal authority

A future AI representation will not, by default, have authority to enter contracts, consent to new data uses, transfer property, manage an estate, make medical or financial decisions, or exercise legal agency for the represented person.

8. Biometrics

If a future voice, face, identity, or avatar feature creates regulated biometric information, ForEverAfter will evaluate the jurisdictions in which the feature can be offered and implement any required written notice, consent, retention schedule, destruction process, vendor restrictions, and security controls before collection begins. A separate biometric notice will be published when such processing is actually enabled.

9. Posthumous AI

Death does not automatically authorize creation of an AI representation. Any future posthumous AI feature will use a separate authority and consent framework that considers verified pre-death instructions, applicable rights, the scope of Legacy Contact permissions, and other legally relevant authority.
